PALENCIA - Albarino                                                                   $22    9/8

Walla Walla / Ancient Lakes    

Albariño is predominant white varietal in the Northwestern region of Spain but this aromatic white wine grape shines in the renowned caliche soils of Washington’s Ancient Lakes AVA. A 30-day fermentation in Hungarian oak gives it its golden yellow color and supple mouth feel & texture. The flavors of apple, peach, pear and lemon zest are framed with bright minerality that coats and refreshes the palate.

 

Brook and Bull – Chardonnay                                           $33     12/11

Columbia Valley

Pencil shavings, flint, pear, pineapple and kiwi give this signature white a complex bouquet leading to a simultaneously voluptuous yet crisp mouthfeel and finish. Lemon spritz meets a pinch of toast and butter, rolling into Granny Smith apple spritz, landing on a food friendly finish. Aged in both newer and neutral barrels, this is the best of both Chardonnay worlds. We hope you think so too. 90% neutral oak, 10% new oak  and 13 months in stainless steel 173 case production

 

PIOLET – Rosè                                                                                   $29    11/10

100% Grenache Rose!!

This is a refined and elegant Rose that is the perfect refreshing summer time wine.  Opening with notes of Stawberry and Raspberry then citrus zest on the palate with a lightly spiced finish. This is a wonderful showing from a new local, Snohomish wine maker!!  40 case production….

 

TWO VINTNERS – Grenache                                                    $29     11/ 10

Columbia Valley/ Olsen, Boushey

This new offering from the winery combines fruit from Olsen and Boushey vineyards. Light in color, it offers restrained but nuanced plum, fresh herb, orange peel, smoked meat, white pepper and raspberry aromas. There's a pleasing sense of purity to the juicy fruit flavors, making it a very pretty interpretation of the variety. 91 POINTS WE

 

BEAST – ”Wildebeest”  Red                                                       $28    11/10

Columbia Valley / The Rocks, Phinney Hill

28% cabernet sauvignon, 24% syrah, 16% merlot, 12% malbec, 10% cabernet franc, 7% mourvèdre and3%grenache.  The aromas leap from the glass, with layers of jammy fruit, root beer and black pepper. On the palate, a core of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc provides both structure and weight, with the syrah, merlot and malbec accentuating the wine’s silky mouth feel and red fruit notes. While the fruit flavors are rich and voluptuous, vibrant natural acidity from the grenache and mourvèdre keeps the flavors bright and poised, carrying the wine to a long, satisfying finish.

 

HENCE CELLARS – Cab Franc                                                $34   12/11

Columbia Valley / Henderson Orchard

This lovely Cab opens with a juicy, hint of strawberry, toasty nose and then warms to cherry, plum and blackberry flavors. The finish is dusty blueberry, plum and mocha.
